New Sermon Series: Haggai

Posted on

This Sunday, July 21st, we will begin a new series on the Book of Haggai. Haggai is part of the Minor Prophets in the Old Testament. The events of the book take place over the course of a few months in 520 B.C., as the people Israel are returning from their exile.

Though the events of Haggai feel removed for Christians living two and a half millennia later, it is quite relevant for us. Haggai speaks to how the church should see itself as the New Covenant garden-temple of God. Haggai describes the hope that comes from the assurance that Christ will reign. Haggai also points to how it is that we can have peace with God - through Christ, the Son of David and the Son of God. Come on Sunday mornings and hear how Haggai shapes our identity as God's people.
