    Communion & Benevolence Offering

This Sunday, November 19th, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the end of our service. We will pass the elements out in the customary manner, and we will have individual servings of the elements available in the foyer for those who prefer to partake that way.

We will also take a collection for our Benevolence Fund. This money goes to those with tangible needs. Marked silver offering plates will be at each exit for this offering.

    New Hymn

We are singing a hymn that is new to us this Sunday, entitled, “There is a King.” You can familiarize yourself by viewing this video on YouTube.

    New (Old) Confession of Faith

This Sunday we are going to confess our faith after the Lord’s Supper using the second paragraph from Chapter 8 of the 1677 Confession of Faith (sometimes called the “Second London Confession” or the “1689 Baptist Confession”).

You can find the paragraph we are going to use here. If you would like to know a little more about this confession’s history, you can read an article about it in Credo Magazine here.

    Thanksgiving Food Collection

FBC Wycombe is supporting the food pantry at Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol for the 2023 Thanksgiving season.

At their request, we are collecting the following types of items:

    • Canned Vegetables (carrots, corn, green beans, peas)
    • Canned Fruit (pears, mixed fruit, peaches)
    • Other Canned Goods (tuna, beef ravioli)
    • Toilet Paper
    • Pasta Supplies (spaghetti, pasta sauce, elbows, penne rigate)
    • Canned soups
    • Jelly (grape or strawberry)
    • Juice (grape or apple)
    • Cereal
    • Other Packaged Foods (rice, cheeseburger pasta mix)
    • Peanut Butter

Please bring your donated goods and place them on the table next to the nursery in the Fellowship Hall. Our last Sunday for collection will be this Sunday, November 19th.

    Evening of Worship in Song

Join us at 6:00pm this Sunday night, November 19th, as we sing praise to God together. If you’re able, bring a snack or appetizer to share for a time of fellowship afterward.

Note: This will take the place of Evening Bible Study that night.

Thanksgiving Eve Service & Pie Potluck

Our Thanksgiving Eve service will be held Wednesday, November 22nd, at 7:00pm. Come join us as we thank God for His kind provision, and bring a pie to share afterward.

    Last Year’s Christmas Offering

Our Christmas 2022 Christmas Offering went toward the purchase of three helicopters for Ethnos360 missionaries in Papua New Guinea. Thanks in part to you and the generosity of many across the world, that project has since been fully funded .
