Combined Adult Sunday School
All Adult Sunday School classes will meet together for the next four Sundays (September 21st - October 12th) in the Sanctuary at 9:00am. As announced last Sunday, we will be discussing the proposed revisions to the FBC Wycombe Doctrinal Statement (contained in Article III of the FBC Wycombe Constitution).
There will be a special-called meeting on Sunday, October 19th, after the morning service to vote on the proposed revisions.
New Hymn
This Sunday, September 21st, we will sing a hymn that is new to us, the 2023 hymn “All My Boast is in Jesus.” You can familiarize yourself with it by viewing the video below:
Communion & Benevolence Offering
This Sunday, September 21st, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the end of our service. We will pass the elements out in the customary manner, and we will have individual servings of the elements available in the foyer for those who prefer to partake that way.
We will also take a collection for our Benevolence Fund. This offering goes to those with tangible needs. Marked silver offering plates will be at each exit for this offering.
Note: If you intend to give to this offering by check, please write a separate one from your check for the General Fund and Missions. This is because the Benevolence Fund uses a different checking account from the others.
Confession of Faith
This Sunday, September 21st, we will confess our faith after the Lord’s Supper by using Questions 30 and 31 of An Orthodox Catechism, written by Hercules Collins in 1680. You can find the text for those questions and answers below:
Q. 30. Why is He called Christ, that is, Anointed?
A. Because He was ordained of the Father and anointed of the Holy Spirit the chief Prophet and Teacher, who has opened unto us the secret counsel and all the will of His Father concerning our redemption. He was ordained and anointed the high Priest, who with that one only sacrifice of His body has redeemed us and continually makes intercession to His Father for us. He was also ordained and anointed a King, who rules us by His Word and Spirit, and defends and maintains that salvation which He has purchased for us.
Q. 31. But why are you called a Christian?
A. Because through faith I am a member of Jesus Christ, and partaker of His anointing, that both I may confess His name, and present myself unto Him a living sacrifice of thankfulness, and also may in this life fight against sin and Satan with a free and good conscience, and afterwards enjoy an everlasting kingdom with Christ.

Men’s Bible Study will resume Thursday, September 25th, at 7:00pm. Men’s Bible Study will meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.
Men’s Bible Study will be studying the books of Ezra and Nehemiah.

Giving Information
Giving at FBC Wycombe goes toward three funds: 1) General Fund, 2) Missions, and 3) Benevolence. All three can be contributed to online. General Fund and Missions giving can be done in-person each Sunday. Benevolence can be given to in-person on the first and third Sundays of the month.
Online giving can be done through the link here or texting the word “Donate” to: (484) 969-9878.
Any undesignated contributions given in person go toward the General Fund. Because Missions has a separate budget, it is necessary for missions giving to be designated. To give to the Missions Fund, please designate the amount on an offering envelope. If giving by check, please designate the amount for Missions in the memo line as well.
As always, offering plates will be placed at each exit this Sunday. If you would prefer to mail in your offering, you may still do so; simply send your gift to the following:
