    2024 Christmas Offering

Our final special offering for the Christmas season will go to support the food pantry at Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol. Instructions on how to give are on the placard next to the Christmas tree in the foyer.

Please place your gift in the box next to the Christmas tree in the foyer. If you are giving by check, please designate “Calvary Food Pantry Project” in the memo line.

    CEF Kids’ Christmas Party

This Saturday, December 14th, FBC Wycombe is hosting Bucks-Mont Child Evangelism Fellowship so they can put on a Kids’ Christmas Party. Children ages 4-12 and their parents are invited to attend from 9:30-11:30am to sing, play games, eat snacks, and hear the story of Christmas. Each child who attends will receive a party favor.

This event is free, and you can help us know how many children to expect by using the registration link here.

    Communion & Benevolence Offering

This Sunday, December 15th, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the end of our service. We will pass the elements out in the customary manner, and we will have individual servings of the elements available in the foyer for those who prefer to partake that way.

We will also take a collection for our Benevolence Fund. This money goes to those with tangible needs. Marked silver offering plates will be at each exit for this offering.

Note: If you intend to give to this offering by check, please write a separate one from your check for the General Fund and Missions. This is because the Benevolence Fund uses a different checking account from the others.

    Confession of Faith

This Sunday, December 15th, we will confess our faith using Questions 35-36 from the Heidelberg Catechism:

    Q. 35. What does it mean that he “was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary”?

    A. That the eternal Son of God, who is and remains true and eternal God, took to himself, through the working of the Holy Spirit, from the flesh and blood of the virgin Mary, a true human nature so that he might also become David’s true descendant, like his brothers in all things except for sin.

    Q. 36. How does the holy conception and birth of Christ benefit you?

    A. He is our mediator and, in God’s sight, he covers with his innocence and perfect holiness my sin, in which I was conceived.

    Community Christmas Carol Sing

Come celebrate the season with us on Saturday, December 21st at 7:00pm for our Wycombe Community Christmas Carol Sing. Join friends, neighbors, and loved ones as we sing familiar carols together and then retire to the Fellowship Hall for cookies.

    Modified Service Schedule

There will be no Sunday School on December 22nd and 29th.

    Christmas Eve Service

We will have our Christmas Eve service on Tuesday, December 24th, at 6:00pm. Join us for a contemplative evening of Scripture readings and carols as we celebrate the incarnation and birth of our Savior.

    Giving Information

Giving at FBC Wycombe goes toward three funds: 1) General Fund, 2) Missions, and 3) Benevolence. Benevolence is collected in special plates twice a month; the others are collected every week.

Any undesignated contributions go toward the General Fund. Because Missions has a separate budget, it is necessary for missions giving to be designated. To give to the Missions Fund, please designate the amount on an offering envelope. If giving by check, please designate the amount for Missions in the memo line as well.

As always, offering plates will be placed at each exit this Sunday. If you would prefer to mail in your offering, you may still do so; simply send your gift to the following:
