When God puts together people to whom He has given faith in Jesus Christ, a passion for ministering, a love for the elderly, and a desire to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word, song, and action, you can't help but reap excitement, blessing and pure joy! That is what happens every third and fifth Sunday of the month as a team from First Baptist Church ministers to the residents of Buckingham Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Worship is a joyful time of singing hymns followed by a message from God's Word.
Resident of the Month
Each month a resident of Buckingham Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is highlighted as the Resident of the Month. The information given is a brief description of the person and a particular need that person has for you, the reader, to bring before the Lord in prayer in behalf of that individual.
This month's resident: Walter
Walter is a new resident who attended our worship service this past month. At one point in the service he expressed his reluctance at being at the service because he was of a different religious tradition. When it was explained that this service focused on knowing God through faith in Jesus Christ he stayed. At the conclusion Walter apologized for not being able to contribute more because of his religious tradition. Pray for Walter by asking God to draw Walter to himself and enable him to look past the traditions of his religion and see the Truth that is found in Jesus Christ and God's Word.
